About Youth Flag Football
The Sandhills Optimist Flag Football program registration starts August 1, 2025. The league starts on September 2, 2025.
- League 1: Ages 6 & 7
- League 2: Ages 8 & 9
Age of the league is age as of Aug. 31st 2025. There are only 25 spots for 9 years old. Registration for those spots are first come first serve.
There will be an evaluation in early September 2025:
- September 2, 2025 – Player Evaluations
- September 4, 2025 – Practice Starts
- September 16, 2025 – Game Start
- October 30, 2025 – Season Ends.
Games will be played Tuesday and Thursday nights at Cannon Park in Pinehurst. Games times are 6pm & 7pm.
Each league will have 10 teams with a max of 10 players on a team with a max of 50 players in each league.
