Youth Flag Football

Registration for the Sandhills Optimist Flag Football program opens August 1, 2026. The season runs September 8 through October 29, 2026.

Leagues

• League 1: Ages 6 & 7
• League 2: Ages 8 & 9

Each league has 5 teams with a max of 10 players per team — 50 players per league. Spots are first come, first served. Within League 2, there are only 25 spots available for 9-year-olds.

Mandatory Player Evaluations

All players must attend evaluations on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Cannon Park. Please make plans to be there.

• 6:00 PM — 6 & 7 year olds
• 7:00 PM — 8 & 9 year olds

2026 Season Schedule

• August 1, 2026 — Registration opens
• September 3, 2026 — Player evaluations (mandatory)
• September 8, 2026 — Practice starts
• September 22, 2026 — Games start
• October 29, 2026 — Season ends

Practices & Games

All practices and games are Tuesday and Thursday nights at Cannon Park in Pinehurst. Game times are 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
